Back to writing nightmares and no time to put together a decent paragraph…. Some days I wonder who has time for posting, blogging, writing, making videos, taking photos, posting again and again and again! Is it really that surprising that we have become so narcissistic and only care about our latest post and likes, though, I must be the exception since I have the urge to vomit every time that I sit down in front of a screen to share my fails with others (wow, just like high school) – nothing has changed in two decades. Weirder, I was recently informed that if you want people to take note of your work, life, or whatever other insignificant sh*t that you think is important, you must post at least three times a day on your accounts just to be seen. WTF! While not surprised at all – and I did already know this – who the hell has time?! Who has content that is worth posting three times? Does no one else have 400 page novels to edit and book covers to design and people to take care of? Cleaning. Laundry. Caring for everyone else 24/7. Moving every four years. Most days, I can barely breath because I’m frantically trying to get everything done just so I can have five minutes to myself to finish a novel or magazine and even then I’m still interrupted and tend to f*ck up whatever I’m working on. Even when I was in school, it was forty hour work weeks and project after project with no end in sight. Unfortunately, my whimsy, creative side of my mind is constantly fending off my antisocially introverted side which prefers to stay in the shadows while watching the twitter meltdowns, social mobs, and all the emotional trauma over narratives. Suppose I would rather live life outside of a frame that’s created by someone else, so the frames, lines, and images are left to my style magazines where creative directions and style inspiration collide to bring fashion stories to life…. Literally – very much despise that word and yet appropriate at this moment – moving on to pineapples, rainbows, and paradise in due time…..

Aryn Lane is the creator of Paperwaif, a shelf featuring contemporary novels, digital publications, and style ideas. As a child, she ran around the family farm and was given the opportunity to work at a young age, offering her plenty of sunshine and inspiration. Always one to stay busy, she's always tackling new projects and trying to figure out how to move forward while prioritizing the daily chaos. Combining her ideas and passions, she dove into fashion design and enjoyed designing collections for her paper muses, but quickly realized that she prefers the quieter environments and country aesthetics. Honing her skills from college, she has actively pursued writing and digital designs while continuing to admire the evolving industries. Paperwaif has offered her a place where she is able to combine her favorite pastimes like digital designs and whimsical stories, pressing them into one setting that can be shared with an audience.
